THANKS-LIVING DAY 14

Unfortunately, I don't have a picture for today, but today was a superb day! There were a couple of sales going on at Tupelo today that had exactly what I was looking for for certain people for Christmas, so I thought I would just go right there and right back and that would be the end of it. As I was getting ready to leave, I passed by Cale's room and he was sitting on his bed doing some of his school work. He had planned on staying here so he wouldn't get behind in school. Out of the blue I asked him if he'd like to go with me. He asked would we have to do school tonight if he went and I told him we'd just have to do extra Mon. and Tue. to catch up. I told him all the places I needed to go, and he decided to go with me. I was so excited for us to have a day out together and also, I wouldn't have to be in such a rush to get back. Cale and I had a wonderful day. We ran some errands on the way to Tupelo. I let Cale choose where we ate; he made a very good choice in Chili's. I tried something I had never had before; Fajita explosion. It was a salad that had fajita chicken, black beans, corn, etc. on it. It was so good. Cale got his usual chicken, corn on the cob, and fries. We went from there to Life Way and to the mall. Cale got Noelle and Scot's gifts for Christmas, and of course, that is all I can say about it for now. We stopped at Wal Mart on the way home to get ingredients for lasagna and some desserts for tomorrow night. Tomorrow night is our Ladies Fall Fellowship at church and the men are meeting at the cabin. So, playing hooky from school today was very nice and we had loads of fun! We will try not to complain when we are having to work longer and harder Mon. & Tue., but I know today was worth it! Thank you Lord for Mother-Son moments!
