My Valentine

Sunday night, Noelle & Cale presented Scot and me with a Valentine card. It's a very pretty and sweet card. They enclosed a gift card for Olive Garden or Red Lobster. They insisted that Scot and I go on a date! We are guilty of taking our children everywhere! I'm not complaining by no means, but since this was the stipulations for the gift, Scot and I agreed to go on a date, alone!
Just so happen, there was a meeting Tue. morning at a nearby church that Scot wanted to attend, so he went in and worked a while, then came home, got ready and went to this meeting. He came home around 1:30 and he and I then left around 2:oo on our date! We ran some errands like any normal date :), then went and ate at Red Lobster. We enjoyed a meal of fried everything! ha. We had butterfly shrimp, popcorn shrimp, fish, crab cakes, salads, baked potatoes, and of course Cheddar Bay Biscuits! I had a coupon for Red Lobster, so after we used the coupon and the gift card, Scot paid two dollars and thirty something cents for our meal, plus a tip for our sweet waitress. We had so much food, we brought some of it home, and the nice waitress sent a bag of biscuits home with us as well. After we ate, we went to Scruggs and loafed a while (Scot's choice) and on to Hobby Lobby (my choice). And of course, what would the perfect date be without a trip to Wal Mart for some groceries?! We met our curfew too. We were home before 8:oo and worn out from our lovely date.
Oh, and by the way, we have terrific children.

Thank you Noelle and Cale.

I took this pic. of Scot before he left for church that morning.

What a sweet treat for you both! Red Lobster is one of my favorites. I can't get enough of their biscuits or Ceasar salad. :)

Sounds like our dates!! We always include some sort of shopping when we go out. Actually we're going out to lunch tomorrow at Panera Bread, but first we will hit Lowes and Walmart!! Enjoyed your pictures. Your hubby seems really sweet!! Enjoy your day!!

Hey Gal! Can I just say that you are an absolutely adorable and charming couple??!! I am so glad that you had some time alone. We have always made sure to take off here and there to keep things fresh!!

So... fried shrimp, boiled shrimp, shrimp gumbo, shrimp sscampi, (ok, had to say it...from Forrest Gump, you know?)

My hubby just loves those cheesy biscuits they have there!!

Sounds like your dates are very similar to ours...except when we really escape like to Jekyll Island, GA or Pine Mountain, GA our two favorite getaways!! So much fun!!

I am so sorry for your Dad. I can't imagine experiencing the death of one of my siblings. Very strange. But I tell you having both parents gone...surreal and very hard to get used to.

OK I've gone on long enough!
Have a happy Friday, sweetie!
I love your hair, too!! I just got mine cut...I may put my before and after on my blog...don't know...I made my before really scary...maybe only the after...I don't know...BYE!!
Becky ;o)

Hi Liesa
I'm so glad for your sakes. Doing things together and enjoying each other's company make married life so special. Enjoy some chocolate tomorrow after the children have gone to bed. Even terrific children do not have to be included in everything...!

Hi Liesa,

So glad you and Scot had a great date night/afternoon. The kids got us gift cards to Olive Garden and Starbucks for Christmas this past year and we went to Olive Garden last week....with Caedmon, of course. That was our first night out semi-alone since Caedmon was born. We are saving the Starbucks for another date night.

When the babies are weaned we usually have a date night once a month...love Red Lobster, Woody's (for anniverary), Olive Garden, Vanelli's, Harvey's...would like some others, but their music is TOO loud. We getting old, you know!
