Bobby Mitchell 5K in Amory

Saturday, November 7th, Cale & a few of the other Spartans ran in a 5K in Amory, MS. Very few people ran that day, but we all had a good time. The people in charge of this run were all very nice and generous with prizes and trophies. The money went toward scholarships for students wanting a career in education.

I thought this picture was sweet. Daughter and Daddy!

Ages 15-19 winners

James Taylor, 2nd place
Cale George, 3rd place
Spartan Girls also received trophies.
Olivia Johnson
Martha Chunn
Julie Johnson
All of the male trophy winners

After the race, we tried a little restaurant that one of our church members had recommended. The Nibble Nook had delicious omelets, pancakes, biscuits, eggs, sausage, bacon, tenderloin, gravy, grits, and coffee! Forrest, Cale, Julie, Margaret, Martha, & Olivia

I sat in the van with Leah and Sam during the race. They watched part of a movie. Roan, their mother parked so we could watch the race from the van. Leah, Sam, and I stayed toasty warm! They were well behaved and very sweet and fun!

They gave me this gift.

What a pretty package!
Inside was a beautiful fall harvest angel.
Thanks Sam and Leah!
