Ladies Conference/Luncheon

Tomorrow is the day!!! "What day?" you ask? I was invited a couple of months ago to speak at a ladies luncheon. I felt like the day would never arrive; it just seemed so far into the future, and lo and behold, Lord willing, tomorrow, April 18, that day will be upon me. I've spoken at several ladies events and to be honest, I just eat it up....I love it!!! AFTER IT'S OVER! ha. As for this week, I am just beside myself with anxiety over it. I trust God, I just don't trust me sometimes. I'm not speaking to a bunch of ladies about a new kitchen gadget or how to's to decorate or something, I'm speaking to them about the most important subject known to man: THE GOD OF THE UNIVERSE! I take that as a great responsibility. The theme for tomorrow is "Our Identity In Christ". The verse the morning is centered around is Galatians 2:20, I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

I desire your prayers. I desire for Christ to be seen and felt in hearts and lives. I desire to be a vessel of honor and a sweet smelling savior to my Lord.

Should any of you local gals like to attend this luncheon, you would be very welcome. By Faith Baptist Church is located in Pontotoc, MS and the conference begins at 9 AM. Mary Beasley will also be speaking. There is no charge. Lunch will be served after the conference. For more information, contact me at my email address, slnc4g@nexband.com. I would be thrilled to see you there! Most importantly, PRAY for me. Pray God gives me exactly what I stand in need of for tomorrow. Thanks.

I usually have the volume off when I visit blogs but I had my headphones on, I'm working, the volume way up and was surprised to hear the song playing on your blog. You see that song was my father's favorite. And it's almost a year to when he had his accident. Brought back many memories of watching him up on the pulpit worshiping while these two sisters would sing his favorite song. They came and visited him last year and I asked them to please sing for him and he smiled so big. Thank you! Anyway, I pray you'll do wonderfully tomorrow!! I love your devotionals you write and I'm sure you'll be able to convey the message the Lord has placed upon your heart beautifully! Wish I lived down in MS...I'd be there!!! Let us know how it goes!

Oh Liesa, I wish it was where I could come to the meeting tomorrow. We are having a family reunion on my husband's side of the family in the morning. They are having a Post-Easter egg hunt for the little kids and we've promised to take our little 3-year-old granddaughter. Should you be speaking anywhere else in the North Mississippi vicinity anytime soon, please let me know!

I'll pray for you. I'm sure the ladies are going to be very blessed by hearing you!

God be with you!

Oh I wish I were in MS! I would love to come and hear you!

I have such a fear of speaking in front of people. I have done it twice but don't plan on doing it any time soon. Actually I have turned down several requests to speak. I feel bad about it but I know that God gives each of us special talents and speaking in front of folk just isn't mine.

Praying for you right now!

Liesa, Please let us know how the conference went. I am sure that you glorified God throughout it all, and that He was so pleased with your effort!
Also, thanks for the lyrics to the song today.
