And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee named Nazareth, To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women. And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary; for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. For with God nothing shall be impossible. And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord: be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her. ~ Luke 1:26-38

I Played My Best for Him...
The Little Drummer Boy
Come they told me, pa rum pum pum pum
A new born King to see, pa rum pum pum pum
Our finest gifts we bring, pa rum pum pum pum
To lay before the King, pa rum pum pum pum,
rum pum pum pum, rum pum pum pum,
So to honor Him, pa rum pum pum pum,
When we come.
Little Baby, pa rum pum pum pum
I am a poor boy too, pa rum pum pum pum
I have no gift to bring, pa rum pum pum pum
That's fit to give the King, pa rum pum pum pum,
rum pum pum pum, rum pum pum pum,
Shall I play for you, pa rum pum pum pum,
On my drum?
Mary nodded, pa rum pum pum pum
The ox and lamb kept time, pa rum pum pum pum
I played my drum for Him, pa rum pum pum pum
I played my best for Him, pa rum pum pum pum,
rum pum pum pum, rum pum pum pum,
Then He smiled at me, pa rum pum pum pum
Me and my drum.
The words and music to the Christmas song Little Drummer Boy was composed by Katherine K. Davis, Henry Onorati and Harry Simeone in 1958.

It's a Birthday Celebration!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS? Nope...not at the Life By George! We're havin' a Birthday Celebration! We act like this time of year is all about us; but, it's not! IT'S ALL ABOUT HIM! He came, He lived, He loved, He forgave, He healed, He cared, He suffered, He bled, He died, He arose, HE LIVES! Who is this King of Glory? King Jesus is His Name!
What can I give him poor as I am?
If I were a shepherd,
I'd give him a lamb.
If I were a wise man,
I'd do my part.
What can I give him?
Give my heart.
Give because He gave and still gives.
Love because He loved and still loves.
Forgive because He forgave and still forgives.
Live because He came and gave life.
Worship because He is The Christ, The Saviour, The Redeemer of the world, The King of Kings, The Lord of Lords, The Rose of Sharon, The Lily of the Valley, The Bright and Morning Star,...He is Jesus, My Friend. ~ L. George
It's HIS Birthday Celebration! What are you giving Him?
