Wonderful Peace!

In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.
~Words of Jesus, John 16:33
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth give I unto you.  Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
~Words of Jesus, John 14:27
Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.  But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!   Matthew 8:26-27
He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves therof are still.  Psalm 107:29
Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves therof arise, thou stillest them.
 Psalm 89:9
Far away in the depths of my spirit tonight
Rolls a melody sweeter than psalm;
In celestial like strains it unceasingly falls
O'er my soul like an infinite calm.

Peace! Peace! wonderful peace,
Coming down from the Father above;
Sweep over my spirit forever, I pray,
In fathomless billows of love.
(W.G. Cooper)

Did you see my post on Facebook today? I was talking about finally having peace with my hubby gone. Great post you have! Love the scripture and especially the words to that song! I haven't heard it or hummed or even sung it in ages. I will be singing it now! Thanks!!!!

This is one of my very favorite songs Liesa! I have played it many a time on the piano at funerals while people passed by for one last viewing. And I hope it will be sung or played at my funeral....that is if I have one....hopefully I'll be caught away in the rapture!! :)

Love ya,
